Engaging Learning Environments

Kids' Paintings

Virtual ECC begins September 8

We are committed to providing the best experience possible. And while virtual Preschool doesn’t exactly sound practical, under the current circumstances, it’s the safest way of getting our kids together.

Children learn through hands on experience – by using their bodies, minds and all their senses. We want our students to experience Fall, Winter, and all the Jewish holidays, connecting with one another, as if we were in person.

What happens to the leaves on the trees in the fall? What does snow feel like? What is Rosh Hashanah? Engaging our little ones is so important, and we’re dedicated to imprinting them with rich sensory experiences, laying on lessons to encourage imagination, curiosity, and wonder.

We will be starting our school year with online programming.

Our Early Childhood Center provides programs and services for infants, toddlers, parents, and more!

When physically open, we offer half day and full day programming, as well as two, three or five day a week options. For parents who need extended hours, we offer care before and after our regular hours.

Nursery Play

Monkeys

Our Monkeys are our youngest class of 2-3 year olds and are welcomed into a warm and caring environment. Children do not need to be potty trained to participate in BTEE's ECC. Our staff will assist you and your child in meeting this milestone when they are developmentally ready for it.

Zebras

Our 3-4 year olds continue on a journey of separation from their primary caregivers while building their independence.  Socialization with peers is integrated into all parts of the program, and teachers support children as they move from parallel play (playing near peers) to interactive play (really playing together).

Leopards

Our 4-5 year old Leopards are part of our Pre-K class. We focus on kindergarten readiness skills, such as building oral language skills, problem-solving, attending to adult-directed activities, expanding attention span, and getting along with a group of peers.  Our developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum helps get them ready to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.

Parent/Grandparent &

Me Class

Enjoy quality time with your little one during our sessions where you will share stories, outdoor play, sensory activities, and music. Meet other parents and/or grandparents and learn fun songs and games to play with your little bundles of joy. A great bonding experience. Facilitated by Debi Chesler.

Ages 6-18 months, meets Thursdays at 4pm

Toddler Transition Class

This class helps connect parents and their children to our welcoming and supportive community. Parents will have the opportunity to play and interact with their children, as well as being part of a group discussion which is led by a parent facilitator. Our discussions will be focused on all areas of growth and development in the context of toddler play, social interaction, and parent education. Meeting weekly, children will become more comfortable and secure in their environment, and this will slowly lay the foundation to help children begin the separation process. As the children parallel play, they are supervised by our early childhood staff with the security of having their parents nearby. Weekly topics include but are not limited to, emotional development and discipline, education, transitions, separation, temper tantrums, sleep patterns, nutrition, toilet training, travel, balancing needs for dependence and independence, play and exploration. Facilitated by Judy Harris
